- LOSE WEIGHT: Overweight contributes to the matters concerning health of an individual, ranging from High Blood Pressure to Diabetes and more. Overweight causes an individual not to sleep well by having difficulty in breathing while sleeping (Sleeping Apnea) which also contributes to High Blood Pressure. So loose excess weight.
- EAT HEALTHY DIETS: Diets can go a long way on matters concerning health. It’s either it affects the health of an individual or it improves it. Eating whole grains, vegetables, fruits, food rich in potassium (lessen sodium in the body), taking food low in cholesterol, not taking foods with high saturated fats.
- EXERCISE: Make exercise a priority. Exercise can help bring High Blood Pressure to a normal level. Having a moment for exercise will go a very long way for most health conditions
- REDUCE SALT (SODIUM) INTAKE: Taking little portion will help reduce the probability of a rising pressure.
- Eat within your household
- Do not eat out, because you don’t know how much sodium they use in the preparations of the food
- QUIT ALCOHOL: Quitting alcohol is also a measure for managing High Blood Pressure, because it can raise blood pressure to the abnormal one, and can also reduce the effectiveness of High Blood Pressure drugs.
- GET A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP: You have to make a great attempt in getting good night sleeps. You can do this by sticking to a sleep schedule, by eating earlier before bedtime, by doing something relaxing so as to get the sleep.
- STRESS MANAGEMENT: Managing stress is an assignment for everyone.
- Avoid doing more than normal
- Face the issues that you can control and plan to solve them
- Have time to relax
- Avoid anything that can make you stressed
- CHECK YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE LEVEL REGULARLY: This is very important in managing High Blood Pressure because you’ll know when things are going wrong or normal.
- MEDICATIONS: If you take your medications as prescribed, and don’t do things that will hinder the effectiveness of the medications; you’ll be so fine.
- GET SUPPORT: It is advisable to be around your people (family and friends). They will encourage you and make you take your drugs as at when due, they will help you do the stressful tasks and more…
